1990median year homes were built

Essex's housing stock, for context

Chittenden County County, home to Essex, has a median home value of $447,300.

76% of Essex's occupied homes are owner-occupied.

The median Essex home dates to 1990, old enough that its original shower waterproofing, whatever method was used at the time, is well past any manufacturer's warranty period.

That's worth keeping in mind before assuming one of Essex's older homes still has sound waterproofing behind the tile.

This is an editorial site first: every guide costs nothing to read, whether or not you ever request a quote. Only one action starts a quote request, the Get Quotes button, and it routes to an outside matching partner rather than to any specific remodeler on our compact list. That partner owes us a fee if your request turns into a job it can place; remodelers on our list owe us nothing, ever, for their spot, on a license-based list or a top-rated one. In most cities, listings are drawn from public license records, not sold placements; in a city with no license records to draw on, the list instead reflects Google's own ratings for that search, also never sold. Either way, the business a partner ultimately lines up may not be the one whose name was on the list you read.

Essex, VT's shower remodel pros, ranked by Google rating

The top ten shower remodelers near {city} by Google rating and review count together, not by license tenure, since this city doesn't have enough license records for that comparison. A strong score here says nothing about licensing, so raise that question yourself before you hire.
